Bronx Bombers is an original project conceived and commissioned by Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo. Together they share a common vision of bringing new, original plays to a wide, diverse audience of theatergoers, initially combining the drama of sports and entertainment through Kirmser Ponturo Group. Lombardi and Magic/Bird were the first two productions in the series. Bronx Bombers is the third production in the series.

Bronx Bombers is the third sports work where Tony Ponturo has brought major sports leagues to the theater. Repeatedly recognized as one of the top 10 most powerful influencers in sports, Ponturo is an Inductee into The Broadcast Hall of Fame for his innovation in sports media.

Off-Broadway: more than 50 shows including The Last Five Years, The Toxic Avenger, If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet, Miss Julie, Roundabout, The Public, MTC, Second Stage, Vineyard, MCC, The New Group. Other designs: The Seven Deadly Sins (New York City Ballet), Paradise Found (London), Reel to Real (Beijing), Chaplin (St. Petersburg, Russia) and the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He received a 2007 Obie Award.

PAUL HUNTLEY, Wig Design
London-born Paul Huntley has worked on hundreds of Broadway shows since his 1972 arrival in New York, most memorably the original productions of Amadeus, Cats, Evita, Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, The Producers, and Hairspray. A recipient of the Dram Desk and Tony awards, he has also worked with some of the most legendary leading ladies of the cinema, ranging from Bette Davis, Mae West, Marlene Dietrich and Vivien Leigh to Jane Fonda, Faye Dunaway, Glenn Close and Jessica Lange. Current shows include Big Fish and Cinderella.
